On an astonishing August Bank Holiday Monday, Hassocks racked up their biggest ever away win in senior football as they hammered Hailsham Town 8-0 at the Beaconsfield.
Phil Gault helped himself to four which included a hat-trick inside of the opening 20 minutes. Ben Bacon and Michael Death had the Robins six ahead by the time the clock reached an hour with the final two goals coming from substitutes Jamie Hillwood and Liam Benson, scoring what was his first goal in senior football.
