The first Mid Sussex Derby between Haywards Heath Town and Hassocks for 24 years went the way of the hosts at Hanbury Park as Shaun Saunders side ran out 4-1 winners.
Trevor McCreadie helped himself to a hat-trick for Heath – although two of those did come in the final 10 minutes to add make the scoreline a little bit more convincing than the actual performance – with Tom Graves for the other scorer.
For Hassocks, Bradley Bant pulled one back midway through the second half as he scored direct from a corner with a brilliant delivery that left Heath completely flummoxed.
