Hassocks pulled off one of the biggest shocks of the Premier Division season so far as they hammered league leaders Shoreham 4-1 at the Beacon to gain one of their best results in many years.
Rob O’Toole had given Shoreham the lead but two goals in the space of five minutes before half time from Liam Benson and Jack Rowe-Hurst sent Hassocks into the break ahead.
They built on that in the second half as Michael Death and Benson were again on target to help the Robins pick up a stunning victory which blows the title race wide open and eases Hassocks’ own relegation fears.
