Preview: Hassocks U23 v Midhurst & Easebourne U23

Hassocks Under 23s play their first home game of the season on Thursday evening with Midhurst & Easebourne the visitors to the Beacon.

This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides at under 23 level, with Midhurst a new addition to the West Division for the 2018-19 season.

The Stags made an excellent start to life in their opening game last week, winning a brilliant sounding game 7-5 against Horsham YMCA.

As a result of that, Midhurst possess the Division’s current top scorer after Jake Goulding netted four times at the Rotherfield.

Hassocks meanwhile kicked off their campaign with a 1-1 draw away at Lancing.

Max Willcox gave the Robins a half time lead after Lancing had missed a penalty inside the opening five minutes.
The hosts weren’t to be denied a goal however and did eventually equalise through Taku Madhlazi just past the hour mark.

Kick off at the Beacon is 7.45pm and entry is £3 adults with everyone else going free.

All the normal facilities such as the T Bar and the Robins Bar will be open.
