Photos of Hassocks’ Southern Combination League Premier Division match against Little Common at the Oval on Saturday October 20th 2018.
In their first league meeting with Little Common for 24 years, Hassocks endured a horror opening hour as they fell 4-0 behind to their hosts at the Oval.
A brace from Lewis Hole and goals from Wes Tate and Ryan Paul left the Robins in a hopeless position after 60 minutes but they did at least try to battle back, scoring through first goals of the season from Jake Lindsey and Harvey Blake.
Common went down to 10 men with 10 minutes remaining after Hole was dismissed for headbutting Dan Jacques in an almighty melee but Hassocks weren’t able to take advantage of the situation to rescue a draw as the final whistle blew on a 4-2 defeat.
