Hassocks Under 23s look to get their league campaign back on track as they return to West Division action this Thursday against Mile Oak.
Oak will make the short journey over the South Downs to the Beacon just three weeks after the sides last met. The Robins ran out 4-2 winners on that occasion through goals from Harvey Enticknap, James Littlejohn and a Connor Bradley brace.
Since then, the Robins lost their unbeaten record when going down 1-0 away at Selsey a week later. That was the last time they played a league game having been in Sussex County FA Under 23 Cup action against Hailsham Town last week.
Oak have also played twice more since that meeting at Mile Oak Rec. They fell to a 2-1 defeat against Midhurst & Easebourne two weeks ago before crashing out of the County Cup with a heavy 9-0 defeat away at Eastbourne Town, meaning they are still yet to win a game this season.
Despite their troubles so far this season, Oak proved stubborn opponents for Hassocks last time out. A Matt Berridge goal was all that separated them when the sides last met at the Rec and Oak left the Beacon with a hard-earned point following a 1-1 draw. Berridge was again the man on target on that occasion.
Kick off at the Beacon on Thursday night is at 7.45pm. Entrance is £3 for adults with there being no charge for concessions or under 16s and both the Robins Bar and the T Bar will be open for alcohol and hot food and drinks respectively.
