Hassocks’ Southern Combination League Under 23 West Division game with Southwick has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
With heavy rain having battered Mid Sussex over the last 24 hours as Storm Diana hit, the Beacon has suffered a deluge that rendered the surface unplayable.
The visit of the Wickers will now take place at some point in the new year. The Under 23s are next due in action next Thursday for what is a massive fixture as they host second placed Horsham YMCA at the Beacon. Kick off is 7.45pm as the top meet for the first time this season.
Tuesday night’s first team game against AFC Uckfield Town was also lost to the weather while the chances of Saturday’s visit of Premier Division leaders Horsham YMCA going ahead are now in the hands of the rain Gods.
