Under 23s clash with Stags falls to frozen pitch

Hassocks Under 23s Southern Combination League Under 23 Cup Quarter Final against Midhurst & Easebourne has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The freezing conditions coupled with Tuesday night’s snow have left the Beacon surface frozen ahead of tonight’s tie.

A rearranged date is yet to be set, so please keep your eyes on both our website and social media feeds for updates as and when we have them.

The postponement means that the Robins will now have gone three weeks without a game.

They last took to the field on January 10th when winning 3-1 away at Broadbridge Heath in their first and so far only game after the Christmas break.

Nigel Pearce’s side are next due to be in action in a weeks time when Selsey visit the Beacon on Thursday 7th February. The Blues are the only side to have defeated Hassocks in the league so far this season.

The Robins then follow that up with an away game at reigning champions Pagham on Thursday 14th and a home game with East Preston on the 21st.
