Five Hassocks goals in the last 22 minutes of Loxwood’s visit to the Beacon gave the Robins a 6-2 victory and three vital points against the winless Magpies.
Joe Bull had given Hassocks the lead but goals from Callum Jenkins and ex-Robin Josh Hawkes put Loxwood 2-1 ahead with an hour played.
A seven minute hat-trick from James Littlejohn – his first in senior football – turned the game on its head before substitute Ben Bacon added a quickfire brace to round off the scoring.
In-between Littlejohn’s first and second goals, former Hassocks player Spencer Slaughter saw red after a coming together with Jack Troak.
