Rustington game off and Heath now host on Tuesday night
Continuing problems with a troublesome section of the Beacon pitch following the installation of new drainage means that Hassocks have had to make further changes to their 2021-22 pre-season schedule.
This Saturday’s game against Rustington has been cancelled to give the emergency remedial works carried out after the Ann John Trophy match with Burgess Hill Town longer to take effect.
Tuesday night’s match against Isthmian League South East side Haywards Heath Town which had been due to take place at Hassocks has been switched to Hanbury Park. Kick off is at 7:45pm and Heath are charging adults £5, senior citizens £2 and under 16s £1 for their home friendlies.
We are hopeful that the Beacon pitch should have suitably recovered for the visit of Sutton Common Rovers on Saturday 24th July. That game gets underway at 3pm and entrance is by pay-what-you-like donation.
Finally, the first friendly lost to the ongoing problems against Oakwood has been rearranged for Tuesday 27th July, starting at 7:45pm.
Providing there are no further hiccups, here is how the remaining friendlies for the Robins now look before the Southern Combination League Premier Division campaign against underway against Broadbridge Heath on July 31st:
- Tuesday 20th July, 7.45pm: Haywards Heath Town (A)
- Saturday 24th July, 3pm: Sutton Common Rovers (H)
- Tuesday 27th July, 7.45pm: Oakwood (H)
