The Robins picked up their second away victory of the campaign with a shock 3-1 success away from home against high-flying Crawley Down Gatwick.
After a quiet opening 20 minutes, last season’s Hassocks top scorer Charlie Pitcher giving Down the lead sparked much improved fare on a freezing evening at the Haven.
James Westlake equalised on the stroke of half time after a handball from Dan Turner went unnoticed in the build up.
Two goals in the final 15 minutes won it for the Robins. Josh Short made it 2-1 and then Arthur Rawlingson scored his first senior goal with a thumping volley shortly after to wrap up three very impressive points for Hassocks.
