Photos of Hassocks’ Southern Combination League Premier Division match against Little Common at Little Common Recreation Ground on Saturday 15th January 2022.
It was an historic occasion as Little Common played their first game at the Recreation Ground following almost five years of ground sharing with Eastbourne United whilst permission and funding was secured to upgrade their home.
Hassocks were in no mood to be obliging party guests however, and subsequently picked up a valuable point in their battle against relegation by drawing 2-2.
The Robins twice became from behind, much to the surprise of a large home crowd. Phil Gault struck on the half hour mark to cancel out Lewis Hole’s 13th minute opener.
Hole scored again for Common on 52 with Josh Short equalising on 77 minutes as the spoils were shared, extending Hassocks’ unbeaten start to 2022.
