Hassocks v Seaford Town postponed due to waterlogged pitch

Heavy rain puts paid to Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup quarter final

The Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup Quarter Final between Hassocks and Seaford Town has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Mid Sussex has been battered by heavy rain over the past 72 hours, leaving the Beacon unplayable.

A new time and date for the game will be arranged in due course and we will update our website and social media channels when we have more information.

The postponement means that the Robins’ next scheduled home game is on Saturday 26th February against Loxwood, kicking off at 3pm.

The Magpies are one of three teams below Hassocks in the Premier Division table, giving the fixture the look of a real six pointer.

Before that, Hassocks travel to Horsham YMCA this coming Saturday – presuming the rain stops at some point over the next four days, of course.
