Third and final programme of the season from a Robins v Anvils fixtures
The matchday programme from Hassocks’ Southern Combination League Premier Division match against Crawley Down Gatwick on Monday 16th April is now available to download for free.
This was the third meeting of the campaign between Hassocks and Down at the Beacon, the other two having come in the Sussex Senior Cup in October and the Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup in January.
On the subject of the RUR Cup, the programme looked ahead to the Robins’ big semi against Littlehampton Town. That takes place at the Beacon on Tuesday 26th April, kick off at 7:45pm.
Captain Jack Troak was revealed to have won Hassocks Player of the Month for March and we also celebrated the fundraising efforts of Spencer Slaughter and his fiancée Megan, who smashed their Brighton Marathon target for St Peter & St James Hospice.
On this Day recalled a disappointing end-of-season defeat to Oakwood from the 2008-09 season. A classic game against Down was recalled from the following campaign, Nathan Miles enjoying a superb cameo from the bench to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 3-3 draw.
