Date finally set for celebrating a successful season at the Beacon
After much confusion and several rearrangements, we can now confirm that the Hassocks End of Season Awards 2021-22 will be held on Friday 27th May at the Beacon.
The bar will be open from 6.30pm with the presentations beginning at 7pm. The club are laying on food and we would like to invite all supporters to join the players, management and committee to celebrate a successful campaign for the Robins.
As well as crowning the Players’ Player, Manager’s Player and Supporters’ Player of the Season winners, the evening provides an opportunity to say thank you to all those whose tireless work behind the scenes keeps the club going.
That includes the outgoing first team management team of Brad Sweetman and Jordan Wilson, who led Hassocks to Southern Combination League Premier Division survival and the semi finals of the Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup.
The Under 23s finished runners up in the North Division and reached the semi finals of their own League Cup. And there may even be some silverware present at the Awards with the Veterans waiting to play the Fred Pretty Plate final.
The Under 18s had a challenging campaign in terms of league results but several of the squad played first team and Under 23s football, so in that regard they too enjoyed a successful campaign.
There is plenty to raise a glass to then and it would be great to see as many people as possible down the Beacon to do so.
