Over £1500 was raised for St Peter & St James Hospice in the annual charity game between the Robins and their neighbours.
A Trialist gave Hill a half time lead as the visitors set about taking the silverware back to the More Than Tyres Stadium for the fourth year in a row.
Every one of those previous victories had been by a big score line but not so this time as Hassocks proved a match for their Isthmian League opponents, which bodes well for the season ahead under new head coach James Westlake.
Jack Troak levelled the tie nine minutes into the second half with a clinically taken penalty. It was a controversial spot kick awarded at the other end which won it for Heath with 15 minutes remaining.
Mike Williamson was harshly adjudged to have fouled Hayden Skerry after tangling with the rapid Hillians midfielder in an incident which appeared to have taken place outside the box.
Lewis Finney made the most of the gift, beating Hassocks goalkeeper Ricardo Teixeira from 12 yards to secure a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
