40 pages of Robins content for the FA Cup Preliminary Qualifying Round
The matchday programme from Hassocks’ Emirates FA Cup preliminary qualifying round tie against Uxbridge on Saturday 20th August 2022 is now available to download for free.
Visitors Uxbridge were introduced ahead of their first ever meeting with the Robins, including a look at the time the Red Army played England in a warmup match ahead of qualifying for the 1976 World Cup.
On this Day went back to 2011, when Hassocks bowed out of the FA Cup away at Raynes Park Vale. That was followed by one of the team’s minibuses breaking down on the way home, completing a pretty miserable afternoon.
It was not all bad news though – happier times in the world’s greatest cup competition were recalled, most famously the run to the third qualifying round and a meeting with Lewes which paid for the Maurice Boxall Stand at the Beacon.
