Photos of the FA Cup Preliminary Qualifying Round match between Hassocks and Uxbridge at the Beacon on Saturday 20th August 2022.
The Robins gave a good account of themselves against opponents who are amongst the promotion hopefuls in the Isthmian League South Central Division this season, before succumbing to a 3-1 defeat.
Phil Johnson gave Hassocks a shock 18th minute lead. Unfortunately, they were ahead for only four minutes before a cross-shot from David Sota caught out Alex Harris to level the tie.
Uxbridge upped their game in the second half and Jack Beadle put them ahead on 56 minutes when finishing off a brilliant passing move worked through five players.
Hassocks came close to equalising on a couple of occasions before getting caught on the break in the third minute of injury time when Juwon Akitunde made the game safe for the visitors.
