Photos of the Southern Combination League Premier Division match between Hassocks and Saltdean United at the the Beacon on Saturday 26th November 2022.
The Robins ran riot, scoring five times in the opening half hour to blow visitors Saltdean away in front of a healthy Hassocks crowd.
Super Pat Harding got the party started with six minutes on the clock, scoring his first Hassocks goal at the Beacon since 2006.
The floodgates opened just past the quarter hour mark, a clinical finish from tall striker Jamie Wilkes providing the first of three goals in six minutes.
Liam Benson volleyed home a Joe Bull corner, followed by another pinpoint Bull delivery being punched into his own net by Saltdean goalkeeper Josh James.
Alex Bygraves powered home a header from – you have guessed it – a third Bull corner of the afternoon to put Hassocks 5-0 ahead, after which the Robins took their foot of the pedal.
There was just one further goal in the hour remaining, Mitch Hewens denying Alex Harris and his defence a clean sheet with eight minutes left to play.
