Premier Division leaders prove too good for Robins
Highlights from the Southern Combination League Premier Division match between Crowborough Athletic and Hassocks at the Crowborough Community Stadium on Saturday 11th November 2022.
Crowborough showed the Robins why they are now nine points clear at the top of the table, winning 5-2 at the Community Stadium to inflict on Hassocks only their second league defeat of the campaign.
Tall striker Jamie Wilkes gave the Robins a shock lead with only nine minutes played but quickfire Crows goals from Harrison Mayhew and a John Sinclair penalty sent the hosts into half time with a 2-1 lead.
Sinclair scored a second spot kick shortly after the break with further Crowborough goals coming from Tom Pearson and Ollie Hyland.
Julian Durand provided Hassocks with their another consolation in the closing stages for his first senior goal.
