Robins score rare win over Tye – with even rarer Tighe goal
Highlights from the Southern Combination Premier Division match between Hassocks and Peacehaven & Telscombe at the Beacon on Tuesday 21st November 2023.
The Robins followed up their 3-0 weekend win at sixth placed Eastbourne Town with an even more impressive victory, defeating third placed Peacehaven & Telscombe 2-0 at the Beacon.
Both Hassocks goals arrived in the space of five minutes just past the hour mark. Bradley Tighe provided the first, scoring in a Robins shirt for the first time in his 192nd game for the club.
Tall Striker Jamie Wilkes then added the second shortly after, enabling Hassocks to leapfrog the Tye in the Premier Division standings.
