Little Common game postponed due to frozen pitch

Week of freezing temperatures puts paid to Robins hosting Common

This afternoon’s Southern Combination League Premier Division fixture between Hassocks and Little Common has been postponed.

The freezing temperatures every night this week have left the Beacon pitch frozen and with no prospect of enough of a thaw before 2pm, the match official conducting a 10.30pm pitch inspection opted to postpone.

A new date will be set in due course. Please keep your eyes on the Hassocks website and social media channels for more information.

Hassocks will next be in action next Saturday when making the short trip to AFC Uckfield Town. Kick off is 3pm at the Oaks.

It will be the second time the Robins have travelled to Uckfield this season. The first came in the Sussex Transport Cup back in September, when Alfie Loversidge scored a late winner in a 2-1 victory for Hassocks.

The next scheduled game at the Beacon comes a week later. Pagham provide the opposition on Saturday 3rd February in a 2pm kick off.
