There was the sad news that former Hassocks physio and organiser of the famous Jack & Jill runs during pre-season, Norman Dodds, had sadly passed away.
In more positive stuff, the Robins were named Southern Combination Premier Division team of the month for January after scoring 10 times in three wins out of three without conceding.
On This Day went back to the 2006-07 season and a 3-1 defeat on a bitterly cold night at the Beacon against Hailsham Town, sending Dave John’s Robins to their first home loss of the campaign.
