Robins offering discounted entry to home game against Crawley Down Gatwick
For the second year running, Hassocks are using Non-League Day to support the Hassocks Community Food Bank by offering half price entry to anyone who brings along a donation.
More than 300 tins of food and other items were collected last year when the Robins hosted title chasing Newhaven.
Those who made their way to the Beacon were part of the biggest Saturday crowd at the ground for over 20 years and witnessed an entertaining 2-2 draw.
For Non-League Day 2024, Hassocks host Crawley Down Gatwick. The Anvils finished as runners up in the Southern Combination League last season, whilst Hassocks are in the thick of the playoff race this time around.
Adults with an item for the Food Bank will pay £4 to watch and concessions £2, down from the normal prices of £8 and £4. Entry remains free for under 16s.
The Food Bank are currently in need of gluten free products like cereals, biscuits and tinned meat. They are also short of squash, coffee, oil, bleach, multipurpose spray and sanitary towels.
Items will be collected at the turnstiles and then sent to the Food Bank. Now is a particularly crucial time at the end of a long, hard winter when many more people in Hassocks and the surrounding areas relying on the service more than ever.
Kick off at the Beacon is at 3pm. Card and cash payments are taken at the turnstiles and within the Clubhouse.
The Robins Bar and T Bar will be open serving local craft beers and other alcohol and hot food and drink respectively. Printed matchday programmes are available and dogs are welcome.
