Season ends in playoff semi final heartbreak for Hassocks
Highlights from the Southern Combination Premier Division playoff semi final between Eastbourne Town and Hassocks at the Saffrons on Tuesday 30th April 2024.
The Robins saw their campaign come to an end as they were defeated 2-0 by Premier Division runners up Town, who advanced to the playoff final where they will host Newhaven.
James Hull scored both the goals for the hosts. The opener arrived on the half hour mark before Hull doubled the advantage in first half stoppage time.
Hassocks gave it everything they had in the second half but could find no way though with their evening summed up when Jack Troak saw a late penalty saved by Town goalkeeper Toby Bull.
