Bexhill captain Richie Welch gave the visitors the lead after only five minutes. It looked like they would take the advantage into the break until Jack Troak equalised in the fourth minute of injury time.
Ruari Farrell then headed in his first ever senior goal on the hour mark of his full debut to sink the Pirates and ensure the three points remained in Mid Sussex.
