Noah Hoffmann, Joe Overy and Dylan Hurst move to the Beacon for 2024-25
Hassocks have completed the signing of three new loan signings from Burgess Hill Town on the eve of the campaign, taking the Robins’ summer recruitment into double figures.
Teenage trio Noah Hoffmann, Joe Overy and Dylan Hurst all make the move from the Homecall Carpets Stadium to the Beacon for regular senior football as part of their development.
All three played huge roles in the Hillians’ successful Under 18s side last season, as well as being handed their first team debuts by manager Gary Mansell.
Hoffmann is an attacking midfielder or forward. He made 19 first team appearances for the Hillians, scoring three goals.
They came against East Grinstead Town and Beckenham Town in the Isthmian League South East Division and Three Bridges in the Velocity Cup.
Exciting winger Overy was called up for the England Colleges squad for their fixtures last November. He already has Southern Combination Premier Division experience having spent part of last season with AFC Varndeanians.
After impressing on loan at Withdean Stadium, Overy was recalled by Mansell and played 17 times for Hill, contributing one goal.
Hurst made his senior debut in that aforementioned Velocity Cup match against Bridges in which Hoffman netted. He is a defensive midfielder who scored some important goals for Hill Under 18s last season.
The trio have been turning out for Hassocks through pre-season and with particular irony, all three were heavily involved when the Robins defeated Burgess Hill 2-0 to win the Ann John Trophy for the first time since 2016.
Overy teed up the opener for Morgan Vale after a mazy run inside from the right flank. He and Hurst then combined to get Hoffman in one-one-one, who did the rest to score the second.
Hoffman also notched the only goal of the game in the Robins’ final pre-season outing, an outstanding first-time volley from a Big Alex Fair knockdown.
