Photos of the Southern Combination Premier Division match between Hassocks and Wick at the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground on Saturday 10th August 2024.
Hassocks had not faced the Dragons in a competitive game since December 2016. Wick wasted little time in showing the Robins faithful that they can make an impression on the Premier Division after promotion last season, taking a 19th minute lead through Josh Irish.
Ruari Farrell levelled five minutes before the break with his second Robins goal in as many starts following his summer move from Lindfield.
Hassocks then had to survive a nervy final 10 minutes plus injury time with forward Jack Troak in goal after Fraser Trigwell was sent off. Troak made a couple of important saves to help the Robins claim a useful point in the circumstances.
