Midfielder returns to the Robins for a second spell
Harvey Enticknap has signed for a second spell with Hassocks after the Robins landed the midfielder from Crawley Down Gatwick.
He previously spent three seasons at the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground between 2018 and 2021, playing 73 matches and scoring four goals.
Enticknap joined the Robins from Loxwood and started out in Nigel Pearce’s Under 21s side. It did not take him long to force his way into the senior setup, becoming established enough to secure his first Hassocks Player of the Month award in November 2018.
His first senior goal came the following February, ironically against former club Loxwood in a mad home game which saw the Robins recover from 3-0 down at half time to draw 3-3.
Another Player of the Month award followed in March. Enticknap ended the 2018-19 campaign having made 21 first team starts and eight appearances from the bench.
His Under 23s meanwhile record read three goals in 22 matches as Hassocks finished North Division runners up to Horsham YMCA.
The 2019-20 season saw Enticknap play 24 times before Covid-19 curtailed the campaign early. He was one of the few bright spots as Hassocks found themselves sitting 19th when the season was brought to its early conclusion.
Just five Premier Division games were won with Enticknap providing a hugely important goal in a 2-1 home victory over Steyning Town.
He also notched in a losing effort against Lingfield during October, helping to earn another Player of the Month accolade.
A further 20 appearances followed in 2020-21 with one goal coming in yet another crazy game. Enticknap opened the scoring on that occasion away at East Preston, setting the Robins on their way to a 4-0 half time lead.
Three second half goals from EP came close to completing what would have been an even better comeback than Hassocks managed against Loxwood when Enticknap got off the mark.
Enitcknap took flight to Crawley Down Gatwick in the summer of 2021. He has played 78 times for the Anvils over the past three-and-a-bit seasons, scoring three goals.
He also turned out for Horsham YMCA and had a brief return to Loxwood last year, playing three times for the Magpies and twice for YM respectively.
Welcome back the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground, Harvey.
