Robins face three of the Premier Division top six over Christmas
A big month of festive football is in store for Hassocks with all the club’s teams challenging towards the top of their respective tables.
The Robins are guaranteed to enter December top of the Southern Combination Premier Division and will hope to strengthen that position over their five matches.
A first trip to Crabtree Park since the opening day of the 2016-17 season kicks things off on Saturday 7th December at 2pm.
Wick left the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground with a point in August from a 1-1 draw, underlining what a tough afternoon that will be for the Robins down on the south coast.
Lingfield visit BN6 on Saturday 14th at 2pm, followed by a trip to Crawley Down Gatwick on Saturday 21st.
Then comes the big one. Hassocks travel to Haywards Heath Town on Boxing Day looking for a first competitive win over the Bluebells in nearly 30 years.
Not only that, but it also a game which could have a huge bearing on the promotion picture come the end of the campaign. Kick off is 11am at the Home Smart Energy Stadium.
The Robins then round off what has been a quite incredible 2024 by hosting Roffey on Saturday 28th December.
Roffey have quietly moved into the playoff picture themselves in recent weeks to sit third in the standings at the time of writing. That one gets underway at 3pm.
The Under 23s have two December games scheduled and both at the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground.
Oakwood are the visitors on Thursday 5th December, followed a week later by Horsham YMCA. The Robins sit second in the standings, three points behind Horley Town but with two games in hand.
The Under 18s start December with a Dennis Probee Youth Cup quarter final home tie against Isthmian League Hastings United here tomorrow.
Kick off is 11am and any support you can give the Young Robins would be hugely appreciated as they go chasing a County Cup upset and semi final spot.
A trip to Shoreham follows on Sunday 8th with the final match of 2024 coming against Montpelier Villa at the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground on Sunday 15th. Both of those get underway at 11am.
The Ladies will hope to consolidate second spot in the Sussex County Women’s Premier Division behind runaway leaders Eastbourne Borough.
They host Worthing Town on Sunday 8th and Horsham on Sunday 15th. Admission is free for all Ladies games with kick off at 2pm.
