There was late drama as the Robins came from 1-0 down at half time to win 2-1 thanks to an 89th minute strike from Dan Turner.
Lewis Rustell put Midhurst 1-0 up going into the break but Morgan Vale equalised just before the hour mark to set up a grandstand finish.
The Stags proved resolute opponents and it looked like they were going to make the long journey home with a point to show for their efforts until Turner scored with a thumping effort – one matched by an almighty roar from the biggest home league crowd of the season.
