Quickfire rearrangement of Robins trip to Crabtree Park
After Saturday afternoon’s game between Wick and Hassocks was postponed due to a frozen pitch, a quickfire rearrangement has been agreed for the clash at Crabtree Park.
The Robins will now face Wick on Tuesday night, with kick off at 7:30pm. Temperatures are expected to rise next week, giving hope that the fixture will be played at the third time of asking.
A substantial leak in the Crabtree Park clubhouse caused the postponement of the first attempt to play the game back in December.
And there was little surprise that attempt number two fell to the weather after successive nights of below zero temperatures over the past week.
The game will be Hassocks’ first visit to Wick since the opening day of the 2016-17 campaign. Jamie Hillwood scored twice on that occasion, giving the Robins a 2-1 victory.
