Under 23s and Under 18s in league and cup contention as incredible season heads towards its conclusion
The Southern Combination title is already in the Hassocks bag – and the Robins will be hoping to add further silverware in April to complete the greatest season in the club’s history.
There are two cup finals to come in the next month for the Under 23s and Under 18s, with both sides also in contention to win their respective divisions.
As for the first team, they will now be looking to put as many points on the board as possible. 99 is the maximum they can achieve, which would be the most by any club since Langney Sports also fell one short of a century in 1999-00.
Pagham visit the Hassocks Hotel Beacon on Saturday 5th April, followed by Loxwood seven days later. Both those matches kick off at 3pm.
The Robins then visit Little Common for the first of an Easter Weekend double on Saturday 19th April. Less than 48 hours later and Haywards Heath Town are the visitors for a Mid Sussex Derby on Easter Monday, kick off at 11am. That will be the final home game of the season.
Saturday 26th April will see Hassocks play their last Southern Combination League game until at least July 2026 when making the trip to Newhaven.
The Peter Bentley League Cup final against Crowborough Athletic looks likely to take place on Saturday 10th May, venue still to be confirmed.
One point from the final four league games of the campaign will secure a second North Division title in three seasons for the Under 23s.
They start their April at Loxwood on Thursday 3rd. Monday 7th April is then the Sussex Under 23 County Cup final against Horsham YMCA at Culver Road, kicking off at 7:30pm. It is the first time the Robins have gone so far in the competition.
A league game at Broadbridge Heath follows on Thursday 17th before Hassocks face Eastbourne United in the semi finals of the League Cup at Newhaven on Thursday 24th.
Two matches in three days round off the campaign, both at Tinsley Lane. Oakwood are the hosts on Monday 28th and their tenants Lingfield welcome the Robins on Wednesday 30th.
The Under 18s Central Division title battle is now a straight shootout between Hassocks and Burgess Hill Town.
Tuesday 15th April sees the two sides meet at the Home Call Carpets Stadium in a potentially season defining game. The Robins then travel to Shoreham for their final league game on Sunday 27th April.
In terms of cup action, Hassocks go to Haywards Heath in the League Cup quarter finals on Sunday 13th.
And there is also the small matter of the Sussex Dennis Probee Youth Cup Final on Tuesday 22nd April against either Eastbourne Borough or Whitehawk at Culver Road to look forward to.
