Tye trip starts the season followed by two newly promoted clubs at the Beacon
Hassocks will kick off the 2022-23 Southern Combination League Premier Division season with a trip to Peacehaven & Telscombe on Saturday 30th July.
The Robins’ first home game takes place three days later when newly promoted Midhurst & Easebourne visit the Beacon on Tuesday 2nd August, kick off at 7:45pm.
Midhurst will be playing in their first Premier Division campaign for 29 years. Hassocks most recently faced the Stags in the first round of the 2020-21 Sussex Senior Cup, losing 3-0 at the Rotherfield.
The FA Cup gets underway on Saturday 6th August. The Robins have been drawn at home to Lingfield in the extra preliminary round with the winners facing Uxbridge on Saturday 20th August.
Trips to AFC Uckfield Town on Saturday 13th and Alfold on Tuesday 16th are crammed in between those two potential fixtures in the world’s greatest cup competition.
Hassocks will then host Division One champions Roffey on August Bank Holiday Monday. It will be the first ever league meeting between Robins and Boars.
The only previous clash in senior football came in the second round of the Peter Bentley League Cup last season. Roffey ran out 5-1 winners in Mid Sussex.
There is a Friday night jaunt to Little Common on September 2nd. On Tuesday 6th September, AFC Varndeanians visit the Beacon in the Peter Bentley Cup.
The first Saturday 3pm home Premier Division fixture of the campaign is against Eastbourne United on Saturday 10th September, followed by back-to-back away games at Crawley Down Gatwick and Horsham YMCA.
Other fixtures of note include a first trip to Crowborough Athletic since the 2013-14 season on Saturday 15th October and a jolly to Eastbourne Town on Saturday 19th November.
The trip to Midhurst & Easebourne on Saturday 3rd December is liable to alteration, depending on England winning their group at the World Cup as this would then be the date of their round of 16 tie.
There is a rare home game on Boxing Day against Steyning Town. The festive fixtures are completed with a trip to Roffey on Monday 2nd January.
Easter weekend will see Hassocks host Crawley Down on the Saturday before travelling to Steyning Town on the Monday in a reversal of the Boxing Day fixtures.
The season concludes on Saturday 22nd April with a home fixture against Eastbourne Town.
