Hassocks faced a real test in their penultimate pre-season friendly before the Southern Combination League campaign starts, facing Isthmian League Premier Division side Whitehawk at the Beacon.
The Robins gave a decent account of themselves in a 2-0 defeat in conditions more akin to the middle of November than late July. The Whitehawk goals came in the second half from Luke Robinson and Dom Johnson-Fisher.
