Robins meet with Musselmen

Hassocks look to complete an unbeaten November hosting Shoreham

Shoreham are the visitors to the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground for the final game of November with the Robins looking to complete an unbeaten month.

Hassocks have won all five of their Premier Division matches to date, as well as drawing 1-1 at Tunbridge Wells in the FA Vase before an unfortunate penalty shootout defeat.

That form means the Robins sit five points clear at the top of the table having played one game more than Haywards Heath Town.

Shoreham this season

A 15th place finish in 2023-24 under Paul Etteridge saw Shoreham comfortably survive their first Premier Division campaign in five years after former Hassocks striker Michael Death led the Musselmen to the Division One title in 2022-23.

Etteridge then departed for Lancing in the summer, opening the door for Death to return to the Edgar & Wood Stadium.

Shoreham have proven to be a match for the best sides in the Premier on their day this season, despite currently sit 17th with four wins, three draws and nine defeats to their name.

The Musselmen have claimed the scalps of playoff hopefuls Newhaven and Bexhill United, alongside impressive victories against Pagham and Peacehaven & Telscombe in cup competitions.

Their most recent outing came two weeks ago when winning 3-2 away at Little Common thanks to two goals in the final 15 minutes, so they will arrive at the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground full of confidence.

Hassocks v Shoreham head-to-head

Shoreham have been frequent opponents for the Robins through the years. There have been 54 matches with the only competition in senior football the clubs are yet to cross swords in being the FA Vase.

Hassocks lead the head-to-head with 25 wins. Shoreham have 18 victories to their name and there have been 11 draws.

The Robins have won all four matches played since the Musselmen were promoted back to the Premier Division.

Last time Hassocks played Shoreham

Hassocks visited the Edgar & Wood Stadium last month in the third round of the Peter Bentley Cup, winning 3-1.

All the goals came in the second half with Morgan Vale, an own goal and Big Alex Fair against his old club on target for the Robins. The Musselmen scored a stunning consolation via Belal Ouchen.
