Another excellent month of performances from Harvey Enticknap saw the young midfielder pick up his second Hassocks Player of the Month Award of the season.
Already a winner in November, Enticknap became the second man after Liam Benson to win the vote twice so far this season as he added March’s trophy to his collection.
He started all four of the Robins games in what was an extremely productive month in which Hassocks picked up seven points to pass the magical 40 barrier and guarantee Premier Division football for next season.
He was voted as man-of-the-match in two of those fixtures, the stunning 4-0 win over Pagham and the gritty 2-2 draw with improving Langney Wanderers.
Even more impressive is the fact that he managed to hold off the challenge of Phil Johnson, who finished second for an astonishing fifth time this season.
Johnson had arguably his best month of the campaign so far, notching six times including a fantastic four-goal haul in the 5-2 victory away at Crawley Down Gatwick in which he was simply unplayable.
The Robins’ top scorer also grabbed a brace in the victory over Pagham and remains on the cusp of breaking the 30-goal mark for the season.
He’s only been outside of the top three for Player of the Month once – in February, a month in which he struggled slightly through injury.
That consistency must make him one of the favourites to be crowned as Player of the Season come the end of the campaign.
In third place, goalkeeper Josh Green underlined his growing important to the Hassocks cause by cracking the top three for the first time.
He was in superlative form in the month’s final game against Eastbourne Town, pulling off a string of inspired saves to keep the score at 2-0.
Green also recorded a clean sheet in the win against Pagham and kept out Crawley Down Gatwick’s dangerous front man Oliver Leslie in the win at the Haven.
