Hassocks won away for the first time since November with a hugely impressive victory against an Eastbourne United side who are likely to secure a top six finish when the season concludes in two weeks time.
Liam Benson gave the Robins the lead just past the hour mark but they were ahead for just eight minutes with Dan Stevens netting the United equaliser.
That looked like it would ensure the spoils were shared until Phil Gault hit a stunning first time volley after a beautiful lofted pass forward from Jack Rowe-Hurst with five minutes remaining.
