All the goals came in extra time as Hassocks eventually did just about enough to see off the challenge of Division One opponents Midhurst & Easebourne and advance to the last eight of the Sussex Prinicpal RUR Charity Cup.
A goalless 90 minutes was devoid of any sort of quality whatsoever, leaving the demoralising prospect of 30 additional minutes.
Liam Benson gave Hassocks the lead five minutes into extra time and Phil Gault doubled the advantage six minutes later. Ben Kamplen did pull one back for the Stags to set up a nervy final 10 minutes, but the Robins held on to book their spot in the quarter final.
