The Hillians had just about enough in them to retain the Ann John Trophy after an entertaining 3-2 win against Hassocks. Twice the Robins led, first through Phil Johnson and then Will Broomfield with Warren Mfula and Tom Cadman levelling things up both times.
It looked like the cup would be shared as a result until Mfula notched his second of the evening with just two minutes remaining to give Simon Wormwull’s side victory in front of a crowd of 297 which helped to raise a fantastic £1123 for St Peter & St James’ Hospice.
