February’s fixtures have been confirmed for Hassocks’ sides below first team level with the Under 18s set for two local derbies over the coming month.
Brad Sweetman’s side make the short journey to Hanbury Park to face reigning Southern Combination League Under 18 Central Division champions Haywards Heath Town on Sunday 2nd February at 11am.
The Young Robins secured local bragging rights when the sides last met with a 4-1 win back in October. Harrison Lees scored twice that day at the Beacon with Lewis Beebee and Yahya Azizi also on the scoresheet.
A week later and Hassocks will try and become the first side to lower Mile Oak’s colours this season when the sides meet at Mile Oak Rec on Sunday 9th February.
Oak have already eliminated the Robins from the League Cup with another tough afternoon lying in wake against the Central Division’s outstanding side so far.
The side have a week off on Sunday 16th February before their final game of the month is that second local derby, this time away at Burgess Hill Town on Sunday 23rd
The Hillian’s Under 18s don’t always use the Green Elephants Stadium and so we’re awaiting confirmation as to where that one will take place.
Fixtures for the Under 23s have only been confirmed through to the middle of February with two away games to start the month.
On Wednesday 5th February, Dave John takes his side to title chasing Pagham with a 7.30pm kick off at Nyetimber Lane. Then on Thursday 13th, the Robins travel to Southwick in the second round of the Southern Combination League Under 23 Cup.
That too is a 7.30pm kick off with the winners to face either Seaford Town or Worthing United in the quarter finals.
The Ladies will spend the entirety of February on the road, starting with a trip to Phoenix Sports on Sunday 2nd at 3pm. Martin Lee’s side have no game on February 9th.
They travel to Ashford on the 16th at 2pm and then have a localish derby of their own to look forward to away at Crawley Wasps on Sunday 23rd. That game kicks off at 2pm at Ewhurst Place.
Finally, it’s a packed February for the first team with games against Horsham YMCA, Saltdean United, Loxwood, Langney Wanderers, Little Common, AFC Uckfield Town and Broadbridge Heath all to cram into the next four weeks.
We’re still awaiting conformation of when the rearranged trip to Alfold will take place, although given the hectic fixture list it’s unlikely to be before the start of March.
