Isthmian League Sutton Common Rovers proved too strong for a youthful Robins side playing their penultimate friendly before the start of the 2021-22 Southern Combination Premier Division season.
The visitors to the Beacon ran out 6-0 winners on a sunny afternoon in Mid Sussex. Naseem James and Tyrell Butler gave Rovers a 2-0 lead going into half time with Hassocks having a rare sight of goal via a Bradley Tighe free kick.
Sutton Common added four more goals after the interval. Danny Fernandez fired home a rebound and a penalty, Kiyo Brown made it five and Butler completed his brace with the sixth.
