Lancing and Hassocks shared seven goals in a ridiculously entertaining game at Culver Road in which the hosts eventually triumphed 4-3.
Goals from Mike Williamson and Tom Caplin sent the Lancers into the break 2-1 ahead after Liam Benson had given the Robins the lead.
James Westlake levelled things up just past the hour mark with Lewis Finney and George Fenton going onto establish a two-goal advantage for Lancing.
Phil Gault pulled one back with five minutes remaining to set up a nervy finish but the Lancers held on, with Hassocks’ cause not being helped by red cards to Michael Death and Ashley Marsh.
