For the third home game running, Hassocks hosted one of the Premier Division’s title challengers and for the third game running, they picked up a shock victory.
This success against Horsham YMCA was built on an excellent defensive performance from Luke Akehurst, Tom Barnes, Jordan Badger, Ashley Marsh and the outstanding James Broadbent in the Robins goal.
That set up the platform for Hassocks to strike late and win the game, Liam Benson’s sixth goal of the season arriving 10 minutes before full time to spark wild scenes of jubilation at the Beacon.
