Hassocks’ winless run in the FA Cup was stretched to five years as they went down to a 3-1 defeat to Southern Counties East Premier Division side Erith Town at the Beacon. Spencer Slaughter had given Hassocks the lead inside of seven minutes but the visitors didn’t take long to level things up, equalising through Alex Nelson just three minutes later.
Luis Valencia gave Erith the lead midway through the first half and it was the same dangerous Dockers striker who made the game safe with their third one minute from time.
