Despite a battling display, Hassocks were unable to cause an upset in the last eight of the competition as Bostik League South East promotion chasers Haywards Heath Town booked their spot in the semi final with a 3-0 Mid Sussex Derby win at the Beacon.
The Robins managed to frustrate their local rivals for over an hour before Shaun Saunders’ side’s quality showed as goals from Byron Napper, Melford Simpson and Max Miller secured victory.
