Robins welcome Common on Tuesday 6th February
Hassocks will host Little Common in a rearranged Southern Combination League Premier Division clash at the Beacon on Tuesday 6th February, kicking off at 7:45pm.
The original fixture was postponed after several consecutive days of overnight freezing temperatures left the pitch unplayable following a morning inspection.
Hassocks would have come into the game in good form, having won four consecutive matches since going down 3-2 to Haywards Heath Town in the Boxing Day Mid Sussex Derby.
The Robins defeated Shoreham 3-1 and AFC Varndeanians 2-0 in a pair of away fixtures before returning to the Beacon for their first home game of 2024, comfortably beating Loxwood 4-0.
Hassocks have two more games before Common visit the Beacon. The Robins travel to AFC Uckfield Town this Saturday in a game now kicking off at the earlier time of 2pm.
Pagham are then the visitors to Mid Sussex on Saturday 3rd February, also at 2pm. The visit of the Lions 72 hours before the rearranged Little Common means Hassocks will play back-to-back home fixtures to start what could be a pivotal month in the Robins’ season.
After facing Common, Hassocks take on three of the top six across the rest of February. A trip to Peacehaven & Telscombe on Saturday 10th is followed by home matches against Crowborough Athletic and Steyning Town on Saturday 17th and 24th respectively.
